As a classically trained violinist, Hannah (she/her) has served in a variety of roles in the music world from performance to teaching to productions. In the last decade, she has performed with orchestras in Colorado, Arizona, and Oregon including Portland Columbia Symphony. After graduating with her Doctorate in Musical Arts from Arizona State University in 2015, Hannah built a large studio of private violin students from beginners to college students and beyond. As half of the violin-piano duo, Duo Odéon, Hannah researched and recorded premiere performances of music by the composer George Antheil for her debut album, Specter, released in June 2018. She brings her experience in education and concert productions, and her love of Portland’s music scene, to Portland Columbia Symphony’s staff. When she is not teaching violin lessons or working a concert, you’ll find Hannah baking pies or instructing fitness classes at barre3 Portland.
